OPEN MIC: Friday, September 3, 8:00 p.m. Meets downstairs in Subcity on the first & third Fridays of every month. Sign ups begin at 7:30 pm. Come for music, coffee, and fellowship. Whether you come to sing, play an instrument, read poetry, or just sit back and enjoy, all are welcome. Pro Tools recording of your set available for purchase. MOVIE NIGHT: “It Happened One Night.” Saturday, September 11, 7:30 p.m. at Jubilatte Movie House, 2944 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica. $1 donation per person includes snacks and drinks. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

CELL PHONE AND PRESCRIPTION GLASSES RECYCLING: Please place cell phones or old prescription glasses for recycling in the basket in the narthex. The cell phones are recycled for battered women, and the glasses go to an eye clinic in Haiti (no sunglasses, please).

Please clip UPC labels from Campbell’s products to help purchase software and other items for the Hopi Mission School. Give them to Marie Johnson or bring them to the church office.

PARKING: As our morning congregation grows, remember that parking is available for free on Sundays on Wilshire Blvd. There are also spaces we can use along the back wall of the liquor store at 10th and Wilshire.
