Small Groups

Sundays: (Begins September 12th)

9:00am – Open Small Group - “The Book of Matthew”, Host: Dr. Chuck Wood, Room 26 on church premises.

11:30am – Open Small Group – “Seeing Christ in the Jewish Feasts” A Christianity Today Bible study. Hosts: Robert & Teni Wilkins, Room 26 on church premises. Some personal study involved. 7 weeks. Shared leading. Childcare available.

11:30am – Open Women’s Small Group – From Women of Faith, “Living Above Worry and Stress”, Host: Allison Parelman, Room 14 on church premises. Some personal study involved. Shared leading. Childcare available.

Tuesdays: (Begins September 14th)

7:00pm – Men’s Small Group – “Meeting Jesus”, an Inter-Varsity Press Bible Study. Host: Randy Bresnik, Santa Monica. Some personal study involved. Shared leading. 6 weeks.

Wednesdays: (Begins September 15th)

10:30am – Women’s Small Group – “God is Closer than You Think” by John Ortberg. We will read the book and have a discussion each week. Host: Nickie Lilyroth, Santa Monica. Personal reading involved. Shared leading. 8 weeks.

11:30am- Men’s Fellowship Lunch - $5 donation. Home cooked lunch and devotion. Great fellowship and fun. Judson Hall/Fellowship Hall on church premises. Home cooking: Pastor Keith Magee, Devotions: Rod Simpson.

7:00pm – Open Small Group – “The Book of Ephesians”, Teacher: Pastor Keith Magee, Room 14, on church premises.

7:00pm – Women’s Small Group – “Meeting Jesus”, an Inter-Varsity Press Bible Study. Host: Kathy Corvo, Santa Monica. Some personal study involved. Shared leading. 7 weeks.

Saturdays: every 4th Saturday (Begins Saturday Sept. 26th)

“Hands to Work” - Women’s Small Group Missional Focus Day: Every 4th Saturday, 9:30am -11:00am (church premises).
On the Fourth Saturday of the month we will gather at the church and take on projects that need the help of volunteers. We are striving to move our small groups along to include service outside of their exciting weekly group meetings. Join us as we begin with the cleaning of the Nursery. We will clean for about an hour and end with a short devotional and celebrate with refreshments. Hosts: Linda Geiske, Sonja Wittich and Merle Durham.

Women’s discipleship: If you are looking for encouragement in your faith there are two women (Linda Gieske and Sonja Wittich) willing to meet with you and work through those questions we all have. Using “Introducing Jesus” by Peter Scazzero (an Inter-Varsity Press study) they will walk you and one or two friends through this six week wonderful journey. Simply fill out the tear off section of the bulletin and put it in the offering or call the office at 310-395-9961 and we’ll work out a time that works for you!
